[Transcriber's Note:
There were a LOT of inconsistencies in spelling, accents, hyphenation
and use of quotation-marks. I decided to make it as consistent as
possible, while trying to stay as close as possible to the scans.
Where hyphenated and non-hyphenated versions of a word co-existed in the
text (within lines) I converted to the hyphenated version, as those
versions were by far the most common.
The use of the grave and acute accents (almost exclusively for emphasis
in spoken fragments) was so inconsistent that there was no real bias to
be found. I changed these to modern Dutch use, i.e. acute on long (use
of) vowels and grave on short.
I tried to mess with the spelling as little as possible. 'bizonder' and
'bijzonder' and their variants were changed to 'byzonder' as this was
about 50 times more common. 'Lodewijk van Deyssel' was spelled as
'Deijssel' in the index only. That was corrected.
There were more mismatched (double) quotes than I cared to count. Some
spoken paragraphs were not quoted at all. I have done the best I could,
and made the following changes where mismatches occurred: Spoken
paragraphs all start with double quotes ("). They only end on double
quotes if 1) The speaker changes, or the next paragraph is non-spoken
text. 2) They are at the end of a chapter. This is how modern written
Dutch (and I believe English) handles it.
