ah and the Last Day. That is better and more seemly in the end.
S: O you who believe! obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in
authority from among you; then if you quarrel about anything, refer it
to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the last day;

Y: Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who declare that they
believe in the revelations that have come to thee and to those before
thee? Their (real) wish is to resort together for judgment (in their
disputes) to the Evil One, though they were ordered to reject him. But
Satan's wish is to lead them astray far away (from the right).
P: Hast thou not seen those who pretend that they believe in that which
is revealed unto thee and that which was revealed before thee, how they
would go for judgment (in their disputes) to false deities when they
have been ordered to abjure them? Satan would mislead them far astray.
S: Have you not seen those who assert that they believe in what has been
revealed to you and what was revealed before you? They desire to summon
one another to the judgment of the Shaitan, though they were commanded
to deny him, and the Shaitan desires to lead them astray into a remote
error.

P: And when it is said unto them: Come unto that which Allah hath

S: And when it is said to them: Come to what Allah has revealed and to
the Messenger, you will see the hypocrites turning away from you with
(utter) aversion.

Y: How then, when they are seized by misfortune, because of the deeds
which they hands have sent forth? Then they come to thee, swearing by
Allah: "We meant no more than good-will and conciliation!"
P: How would it be if a misfortune smote them because of that which
their own hands have sent before (them)? Then would they come unto
thee, swearing by Allah that they were seeking naught but harmony and
kindness.
S: But how will it be when misfortune befalls them on account of what
their hands have sent before? Then they will come to you swearing by
Allah: We did not desire (anything) but good and concord.
