ESPERANTO.

Unua vorto en unua artikolo de la unua ekzemplero de tiu cxi Gazeto
estas signifa. "Esperanto!" Espero estas la sxlosilo de la tuta
movado. Ni do esperas ke ni movadas. Cxar ni esperas, ni eldonas tiun
cxi Gazeton, ni fondas Esperantistajn grupojn kaj ni faradas cxion,
kion ni povas, por disvastigi Esperanton en la mondo.

Esperantistoj ne utiligas maloptimistojn. Al "Giganto Malespero"
Esperanto estas sigelata libro. Kaj Espero, kiel sia fratinvirto
Fido, antauxvidas je la estonteco, ridas je nepoveblecoj kaj diras
"Gxi devas fari."

Kvankam Esperanto estas enradikata en kristanaj virtoj kaj lia idealo
estas atingebla nur en malproksima estonteco, gxi tamen estas unu el
la plej simplaj kaj klare necesaj aferoj en la mondo. Gxi estas tiel
simpla kaj necesa ke ni miregas ke homaro nur nun elpensis gxin. Nun
estas neeble prokrastadi gxian enkondukon, kiel necesega ilo por
internaciaj interrilatoj.

La deknauxa centjaro, pli faciliginte vojagxojn, necesigis elpenson
de internacia lingvo. La dudeka centjaro devas universaligi gxian
