happen), against us; or thou bring Allah and the angels before (us)

P: Or thou cause the heaven to fall upon us piecemeal, as thou hast
pretended, or bring Allah and the angels as a warrant;
S: Or you should cause the heaven to come down upon us in pieces as you

Y: "Or thou have a house adorned with gold, or thou mount a ladder right
into the skies. No, we shall not even believe in thy mounting until
thou send down to us a book that we could read." Say: "Glory to my
Lord! Am I aught but a man,- a messenger?"
P: Or thou have a house of gold; or thou ascend up into heaven, and even
then we will put no faith in thine ascension till thou bring down for
us a book that we can read. Say (O Muhammad): My Lord be Glorified! Am

S: Or you should have a house of gold, or you should ascend into heaven,

S: Say: Had there been in the earth angels walking about as settlers, We
would certainly have sent down to them from the heaven an angel as a
messenger.
