riseth firm upon its stalk,
delighting the sowers - that He may enrage the disbelievers with (the
sight of) them. Allah hath promised, unto such of them as believe and
do good works, forgiveness and immense reward.

S: Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those with him are firm of
heart against the unbelievers, compassionate among themselves; you will
see them bowing down, prostrating themselves, seeking grace from Allah
and pleasure; their marks are in their faces because of the effect of
prostration; that is their description in the Taurat and their
description in the Injeel; like as seed-produce that puts forth its
sprout, then strengthens it, so it becomes stout and stands firmly on
its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the unbelievers on
account of them; Allah has promised those among them who believe and do
good, forgiveness and a great reward.

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

049.001
Y: O Ye who believe! Put not yourselves forward before Allah and His
Messenger; but fear Allah: for Allah is He Who hears and knows all
things.

P: O ye who believe! Be not forward in the presence of Allah and His
messenger, and keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower.

S: O you who believe! be not forward in the presence of Allah and His
Messenger, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is
Hearing, Knowing.

049.002
Y: O ye who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the
Prophet, nor speak aloud to him in talk, as ye may speak aloud to one
another, lest your deeds become vain and ye perceive not.

P: O ye who believe! Lift not up your voices above the voice of the
Prophet, nor shout when speaking to him as ye shout one to another,
lest your works be rendered vain while ye perceive not.

S: O you who believe! do not raise your voices above the voice of the
Prophet, and do not speak loud to him as you speak loud to one another,
lest your deeds became null while you do not perceive.

049.003
Y: Those that lower their voices in the presence of Allah's Messenger,-
their hearts has Allah tested for piety: for them is Forgiveness and a
great Reward.
