you, but me it hates, because I testify of it that its works are evil. [7:8]Do you go up to the feast; I go not up to this feast, because my time has not yet fully come. [7:9]Having said these things he continued in Galilee. 2 [7:10]But when his brothers had gone up, then he also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. [7:11]Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he? [7:12]And there was much complaining concerning him among the multitude; some said, He is a good man; others said, No; but he deceives the people. [7:13]Nevertheless, no one spoke openly for him from fear of the Jews. 3 [7:14]And in the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. [7:15]Then the Jews wondered, saying, How does this man know letters, not having learned? [7:16]Then Jesus answered them and said, My teaching is not mine but his that sent me. [7:17]If any one will do his will, he shall know of the teaching whether it is from God or whether I speak from myself. [7:18]He that speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but he that seeks the glory of him that sent him, this [man] is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. [7:26]And behold, he speaks boldly, and they say nothing to him. Have the rulers at length learned that this is the Christ? [7:27]But we know this man whence he is; but when the Christ comes, no one knows whence he is. [7:28]Then Jesus cried, teaching in the temple and saying, You both know me and know whence I am; and I have not come of myself; but he that sent me is true, whom you know not; [7:29]I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me.
