t known
whether the spelling differences have any grammatical significance.
17:13 Missing _h_ in _Hec(h)auhautheth=ahe_ (_Master_).
18:19 Missing letter _u_ in _Hejavaneauth(u)saun_, which often
appears (as does _Hejavaneauthusau_) where we would find the name
_Jesus_ in the KJV.
20:41 _D=avid_ is spelt thus here and in two other places nearby,
20:42 and 20:44. The name is spelt _David_ in its other ten
appearances in the text. (See note for 13:16.)
20:42 _Psalms_ is capitalized here but not in 24:44, but both are
almost certainly deliberate. As per the KJV, _Psalms_ in 20:42 is the
name of a book in the Bible, but in 24:44 the "common noun" _psalms_
is meant.
23:42 _Hejaneauthusaun_ possibly should be _Hejavaneauthusaun_. (See
note for 18:19.)
24:34 The last word of the verse is unclear and could be
_hathahaugaunee_ or _hathahaugauhee_. The former was chosen as being
closer to what is used in other instances of direct speech.
