the good ground, and yielded fruit that sprang up
and increased; and brought forth, thirty, and sixty, and a
hundredfold. (9)And he said: He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
(10)And when he was alone, they who were about him with the twelve
asked him concerning the parables. (11)And he said to them: To you is
given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but to those who are without,
all things are done in parables; (12)that seeing they may see, and not
perceive, and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest haply
they should turn, and be forgiven. (13)And he says to them: Know ye
not this parable? And how will ye know all the parables?
(14)The sower sows the word. (15)And these are they by the way-side;
where the word is sown, and when they hear, Satan comes immediately
