he Pharisees among themselves, Do ye not perceive that ye gain no advantage? behold, the world is gone after him. (20)Now there were certain Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast: (21)these then came to Philip, who was of Bethsaida, of Galilee, and they asked him, saying, Sir, we wish to see Jesus. (22)Philip comes and speaks to Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus. (23)Then Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. (24)Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat falling on the earth undergo a deathlike change, it abideth single: but if it _thus_ die, it beareth abundant produce. (25)He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, shall preserve it to life eternal. (26)If a man will be my servant, let him follow me; and where I am, there also shall my servant be: and if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. (27)Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. (28)Father, glorify thy name! Then came a voice from heaven, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. (29)The multitude that stood by, and heard it, said that it was thunder: others said, An angel hath spoken to him. (30)Jesus answered and said, This voice came not for my sake, but for your's. (31)Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the ruler of this world be ejected out _of it_. (32)And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. (33)And this he said, signifying by what death he should die. (34)Then the multitude answered him, We have heard out of the law, that the Messiah abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, That the Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man? (35)Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest the darkness overtake you: he that walketh in darkness, knoweth not even whither he is going. (36)While ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of the light. These things spake Jesus, and going away, concealed himself from them. (37)Now, though he had done so many miracles before them, they believed not on him: (38)that the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, "Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?" (39)For this reason they could not believe,
