Granville, earlier known as Carteret, was lord president of the council from 1750 to 1763, Kinnoull chancellor of the duchy of Lancaster 1760-1762, Mansfield chief justice 1756-1788. Cholmondeley and Falmouth were lieutenant-generals. Nugent and Ellis were vice-treasurers for Ireland and members of Parliament.
