eth unto the Father but by me.
If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from
henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him,
Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto
him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not
known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and
how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that
I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak
unto you I speak not of myself; but the Father that dwelleth in
me, he doeth the works. Believe me, that I am in the Father, and
the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works' sake.
Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works
that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he
do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in
my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the
Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
SAINT BARNABAS THE APOSTLE _June_ 11.
THE COLLECT.
O Lord God Almighty, who didst endue thy holy Apostle Barnabas
with singular gifts of the Holy Ghost: Leave us not, we beseech
thee, destitute of thy manifold gifts, nor yet of grace to use
them always to thy honour and glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
_Amen_.

of God, was glad; and exhorted them all, that with purpose of
heart they would cleave unto the Lord. For he was a good man,
and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was
added unto the Lord. Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to
seek Saul. And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch.
And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves
with the Church, and taught much people: and the disciples were
called Christians first in Antioch. And in these days came prophets
from Jerusalem unto Antioch. And there stood up one of them named
Agabus, and signified by the Spirit, that there should be great
dearth throughout all the world; which came to pass in the days
of Claudius Caesar. Then the disciples, every man according to
his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which
dwelt in Judaea: which also they did, and sent it to the elders
by the hands of Barnab
