doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up
for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust
doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
_St Matth_. vi. 19, 20.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven: but he that doeth the will of my Father which
is in heaven. _St Matth_. vii. 21.
Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast
money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And
there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which
make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith
unto them, Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast
more in than all they which have cast into the treasury. For all

43, 44.

13, 14.

as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or
of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2 _Cor_. ix. 6, 7.
Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that
teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. _Gal_. vi.
6, 7.
As we have opportunity, let us do good unto all men; especially
unto them who are of the household of faith. _Gal_. vi. 10.
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high
minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who
giveth us richly all things to enjoy: That they do good, that they
be rich in good works, ready to distribut
