constitution of a proposed League of Nations set forth, one of the

Aug. 26--Germans destroy Louvain.

Sept. 5--Great Britain, France and Russia sign a treaty not to make
peace separately.
Sept. 6-10--First Battle of the Marne. Germans reach the extreme point

Aisne.
