ironments in the Sierra Madre Oriental in
Mexico. _Hyla charadricola_ also lives in the Sierra Madre Oriental,
whereas _Hyla bistincta_ is widespread in the mountains of Mexico
southeastward to the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
