24]For the name of God is blasphemed on your account among the nations as it is written. 8 [2:25]For circumcision indeed is profitable if you perform the law, but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision. [2:26]If therefore the uncircumcision keeps the ordinances of the law, shall not its uncircumcision be accounted for circumcision? [2:27]And the uncircumcision by nature which keeps the law shall judge you who with the written law and circumcision are a transgressor of the law. [2:28]For not that which is external is the Jew, nor is that which is external in the flesh circumcision. [2:29]But that which is in secret is the Jew, and circumcision of the heart is in the spirit not in the writing, the commendation of which is not of men but of God. 9 [3:1]What then is the preeminence of the Jew? or what the profit of circumcision? None at all; for we before asserted that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin, [3:10]as it is written, There is none righteous not one, [3:11]there is none that understands, there is none that seeks God; [3:12]all have turned aside, they have together become unprofitable; there is no one that does good, there is not even one; [3:13]their throat is an opened tomb, with their tongues they practise deceit, the poison of asps is under their lips. [3:14]Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. [3:15] Their feet are swift to shed blood, [3:16]destruction and misery are in their ways, [3:17]and the way of peace they have not known. [3:18]There is no fear of God before their eyes. [3:19]But we know that whatever the law says, it s
